10 Athletes who Brought Medals for Ethiopia at Oregon


In the 2022 world athletics championships which was held in Oregon, Ethiopia finished 2nd just next to the USA. Ethiopia got 10 medals in the competition. 4 Gold, 4 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals.

Here is the list of athletes who brought these medals for Ethiopia:

Gold Medals

1. Tamirat Tola in men’s Marathon

Tamirat is a 30 years old male athlete. In addition to his current gold medal, he is known to be 1x World Championships silver medalist, and 1x Olympic bronze medalist.

2. Goytom Gebreslase in women’s Marathon

Goytom is a 27 years old female athlete who brought the gold medal in women’s marathon for Ethiopia. In addition to her current gold medal Goytom is a 1x African Championships bronze medalist and 1x World Youth gold medalist.

How to Get Ethiopian Passport Online

 Are you an Ethiopian and want to get your passport, but don't want to face all the bureaucracies and stay in line at immigration waiting for your turn? Well, you've come to the right place. In this post, I'll show you how you can order and get your passport online.

Here we will see how we can get a new passport, renew an expired passport, get a new passport for which pages are run out, and get a replacement for a lost passport.

Requirements to get the passport:

  1. Kebele Identity Card (must be updated |የታደሰ| with stamp)
  2. Birth Certificate from civil registration and vital statistics | ወሳኝ ኩነት (Birth certificate from health centers is not accepted, so make sure it is from ወሳኝ ኩነት)
  3. Scan and save the above documents as jpeg, jpg, png, or pdf format and A4 size
  4. Make 2 copies of the above documents
  5. Passport fee 600 Ethiopian birr for 32 pages passport and 2186 Ethiopian birr for 64 pages passport
  6. Able to go to the chosen immigration office for the scheduled appointment
