Ancient civilization and breath taking churches of Emperor Laliibela

Lalibela is a place named after emperor Lalibela where there is no other place parallel to it. The churches of Lalibela are made from the mountains of solid rock and take their shape. They are made with incredible precision and took a lot of force and skill to build those churches. The churches are very astonishing heritages of Ancient Ethiopian people.

There are 11 incredible historical churches in Lalibela. The man who made those churches was Emperor Lalibela. But according to kibre Negast or (Glory of kings, the true arc of the covenant) which was written more than after a century after the churches had been constructed, Lalibela was not a man which could not claim Solomonic dynasty he was a member of rival dynasty.

Debre Damo is found in north of Lalibela. It is one of the oldest buildings of Ethiopia and the only way to get to it is by climbing with a rope made from goat skin in the steep cliff. The view from this cliff seems like you are on the top of the world.


When the monastery was first established it is believed up to a thousand monks lived up here but now there are only 300. Debre Damo is one of the oldest Christian occupied communities in the world and it is 500 years older than Lalibela.

Italian culture center in Ethiopia presents 2 music concerts

Italian culture center in Ethiopia presents 2 music concerts. The clarinet player Dawit Firew and the Ethio-Italian Saba Angelina presents the show.

 He shows his clarinet skill on the Italian culture center. Many people understand that musics which are not limited by time use old instruments in such a way that Dawit reveals old time Ethiopian music instruments with clarinet can present us with a remarkable joy and great feeling to the people who hears it.

In the show Dawit presents 10 musics which had already been presented in conjunction with clarinet. In the concert many art lovers enjoyed the show.

In Holeta, Ethiopia 10 people critically injured and 3 people died from traffic accident

Around Finfine, Oromia zone in Holeta city 3 people died and 10 people suffered from terrible injury of a traffic accident. According to the zones poloce the accident occurs in December 04, 2013 by the time 5:40 at the morning A vehicle containing 15 people and transporting from Ginche to Addis Ababa gets crashed with  two other cars.

In the accident a family members of man and wife with their only 11 months child were in the car According to the police the life of the mother passed with severe injury to her husband but the child was in a good condition some of the people call it miracle.

Critically injured patients are now getting treatment in Kidus Paulos and Balcha hospital. The Holeta police office inspector Dibaba Regassa said the cause for the accident is the drivers speed which was off limit and other cars with no proper use of car lights.

The report says the driver and his companion (redat) get lost before the police reaches the place and now tho police is making all its effort to find them.

An art gallery which includes more than 70 artists is being held on Taitu Hotel, Addis Ababa

An art gallery which includes more than 70 artists is being held on Taitu Hotel, Addis Ababa. The festival contains different ideas of of those artists.

Last Friday by Ethiopian art association and with the support of Taitu hotel this festival had been opened and is open for art loving society. It is now being visited by many people in the country.

The artists of this festival are young youths which are mainly found in the 20's. In this festival there are more than 70 artists with more than 500 art galleries had been presented.

The type of arts are made with oil, water, and wood colors. Taitu hotel covers all the expense of this art festival with the aim of supporting Ethiopian art association. They intended to give 20% of the income of the exhibition to this art association as artist Zelalem Gizaw, Taitu hotels art gallery manager said.

With its opening day many tourists and art lover Habesha people watched and visited the exhibition. The bazaar is expected to end tonight.

A book called "Momentum for Ethiopia" gets to readers in Addis Ababa University, Eshetu Chole Adarash. This book have 6 seasons and 182 pages. This book lets the people of Ethiopia or habesha to know the history, culture and potential of their country and to reach at a great success and development of Ethiopia.ire

The books aim is to show the direction and give motivation to the people to make Ethiopia among developed countries.

This Ayalew Talema's "Momentum for Ethiopia " books is expected to have 6 consequent books. The book also contains poems which express the idea of the whole book. The owner of the book expresses the reason for choosing the name momentum is to show strong force working together to achieve a great goal.

Ethiopia determined to complete the Nile dam by 2017

The Nile is the longest river in the world passing through 11 different countries including Ethiopia, South Sudan, Sudan and Egypt. It is the primary source of water for many of these countries especially Egypt and Sudan.

Ethio Djibouti Railway

As we all know amongst Ethiopian Hidase  one of the main project is building railway with in cities, between cities and between countries like between Ethiopia and Djibouti. The project has been started and is continuing to finish the project with in the expected period of time 3 years and 6 months. The project will cover 2300km.



Ethiopian railway corporation signed with the Chinese civil engineer to built the second part of Ethio - Djibouti railway. Ethiopian railway officer Dr. Getachew Betru and by the CCC's president Yoandi makes the agreement.

The whole length of the project is 656km. This part of the way takes part from Messo, Diredawa to Medole which is 339km.

Awra Amba - Ethiopian Society

Awra Amba is a village in Ethiopia, Amhara region Fogera woreda of Gondar zone. The village was founded by Zumra Nuru. Zumra starting from his early life had a dream to make a place where women and men are equal in many aspects of life.

The place where Zumra was born women and men are not equal and there is division of work. Men usually work at farm but most of other work was a load to the women. Including taking care of children finding fire wood for cooking, collecting water and all the house sold activities. Even worse men beat women especially their wives for different reasons. Women were like slaves. Religion was also one of the major conflicts in that area.

Zumra used to ask why? But the answers from his family and his society was not satisfying so wanted to found a place where all women and men will be treated equally.

How to Change Video Format on Microsoft Expression Encoder Pro

In my previous post I've posted how you can make screen capture video from your desktop using Microsoft expression encoder pro.

There is a  major problem people face when they try to play their videos because many video players will not support video files of Encoder pro.

So in this post I will give you a shot on how you can sort this out.

Expression Encoder 4

1. Make your video using Microsoft expression encoder

The first thing is you have to make your screen capture video using Microsoft expression encoder pro. you can see the previous post for a guide on this.

2. Open Microsoft Expression Encoder Pro

Then what you need to do is just change the file format of your recording. To do this go to Programs then Click on Microsoft expression encoder from the list select Microsoft expression encoder 4.

3. Follow the following steps to change the video file format

Now we want to change the file format of our screen capture video so go to the next step.

• Click on file this will bring a list.

• Click on Import:For importing the file that we want to make our project.

• Go and select the file you want to change by default it will be in c:\documents>expression>expression encoder>screen capture output. 

• By default this is the location where our screen capture videos will be stored after completion. So this is the place where we have to pick them in order to do what ever suits us.

• On the right sidebar choose output format and choose the format that you want. I personally recommend you to choose FLV as it has great compatibility those days. 

If you don't register you will not find FLV file format but you can use windows media file format. This format is supported in many players including many internet plugins.

• Then choose your file.

• Click on encode! This will start converting your video wait until it finishes. Now you are good to go mission accomplished.

• You can find your file where you upload the original file.

Many people wonder what is the best screen caption video taker, well it depends on what kind of video you would like to make but of course I would like to make my screen caption video using Microsoft expression encoder 4 since it has easier interface I recommend you use that too.

So first you have to download it from the official site Microsoft expression encoder 4 then you can follow the following steps to make screen caption videos.

After installing go open Microsoft expression encoder 4 then if you need to record your voice as well you have to click on audio icon that appears when you open it then you can also change settings in capture manager. If you want you can enable webcam to record yourself together then afterwards you can adjust how webcam recording appear with your screen capture.

1. ID which is given by known government agency or nationality ID

2. Your age should be 18 or above

3. 105 ETB 20 for key and 85 for rental

4. In the post office you will be given a form and you need to fill it.

-Address

-Wereda

-Kebele

-Phone no.

5.    Then you need to submit the form and pay the fee

6.    Now you will be given the key and receipt that shows your box no.

7.   Now what you will have to do is check if the key works

8.  If it doesn’t talk to the workers so you will get the right key

9. Finally all you have to is check the box if it contains materials that doesn’t belong to you if there are

            Some thing like mails or something else you should return it to the post office.

10. It is all completed you got your Po. Box enjoy.

11. You need to pay rental fee every year in HAMLE (JULY)

12. But if you don’t your box will be rented to another person.

13. If in case it doesn’t rented to another person you have to pay the with penality of some more  

       money.

    Besides it has 13 months not 12.Each of the first 12 months have equal 30 days but the last one (pagume) has only 5 days and it is connected to religious views.Other than this pagume will have 6 days every 4 years so that it will cope up with the scientific theory of 1 year which is 365 and 6 hours.
Most of the people in Ethiopia wash their body every day at the morning in pagume because they think it will help them to start the new year with a fresh start plus orthodox Christians believe it is a process of exorcism.
