Ethiopian calendar

Ethiopia has unique calendar different from other countries; rather than starting its new year with january it starts with september.
Besides it has 13 months not 12.Each of the first 12 months have equal 30 days but the last one (pagume) has only 5 days and it is connected to religious views.Other than this pagume will have 6 days every 4 years so that it will cope up with the scientific theory of 1 year which is 365 and 6 hours.
Most of the people in Ethiopia wash their body every day at the morning in pagume because they think it will help them to start the new year with a fresh start plus orthodox Christians believe it is a process of exorcism.
